Petersburg Data Center Xelent introduced a new service for transporting equipment from any data center or office in the Xelent data center with the transfer of IT infrastructures of clients to the cloud environment. Moving occurs "seamlessly" - without stopping services, with the organization of a backup site and an insurance plan. The service is available to customers from anywhere in Russia.

The relocation project includes the coordination of the migration plan, placements and commutations, the transfer of IT infrastructure to the cloud, the dismantling of equipment, packaging, transportation, unpacking, installation of equipment, restoration of commutation and verification of operability with the client. Earlier, the data center Xelent provided services for relocation of equipment without transferring IT infrastructures to the cloud.

"The seamless move service logically grew out of our experience," said Pavel Voroshilov, sales director of cloud products at the Xelent data center. - For example, in St. Petersburg, we organized the transfer of 3.5 tons of IT equipment in two days. The recovery was without losses, the customer was satisfied. As a result, we decided to develop this direction in order to offer customers new services. "

As part of the implementation of the new service, the data center Xelent offered special conditions for the transfer of IT infrastructure. Customers who rent from one 48U rack (or more) for a period of 12 months can get free of charge or move with insurance for up to 10 million rubles, or the first month of rent.

"According to the Uptime Institute, up to 30% of the 12 million Russian servers are potentially outdated," said Alexei Noskov, director of customer service at the Xelent data center. - With the reduction of IT budgets and the search for options for optimizing the IT infrastructure, as well as the ongoing trend towards import substitution, Russian customers refuse to be placed abroad and transfer computing power to the country. And here it is important not only to provide the functions necessary to the client, but also to provide him with a high level of service. "
